A high-current low resistance ohmmeter, which forces a large test current through the joint so that a marginal contact reveals itself under something like working conditions. A joint that measures acceptably at a milliamp can still fail at load, and this is the instrument that finds that. Specified for switchgear, transformer and busbar commissioning.
