Uni-T UT12M-US professional AC voltage detector with an extended detection range. A non-contact voltage detector, which is the first instrument out of the pouch on almost every job: it establishes whether a conductor is live before anything else is touched. Small enough to live in a shirt pocket, cheap enough to replace rather than nurse, and important enough that everyone on site should have one. It indicates presence of voltage; it is not a substitute for a proving dead test.
