The 87V is the meter most industrial electricians end up owning. Two features do most of the work: the selectable low-pass filter settles the voltage and frequency readings that variable frequency drives otherwise scramble, and peak capture records transients as short as 250 microseconds, which is often how an intermittent fault is finally pinned down. A built-in thermometer removes a second instrument from the bag. Specified for switchgear commissioning and plant maintenance across the UAE.
