Mitutoyo 293-233-30 coolant proof Digimatic micrometer, 75-100 mm, IP65 with SPC output. A digital micrometer reading to a micron, with the ratchet or friction thimble that makes the measuring force repeatable between operators. Consistent force is most of what separates a good micrometer reading from a bad one. IP65 rated, so it survives at the machine. SPC output sends each reading straight to a data collector or a PC, which is what turns an inspection into a record without anybody transcribing numbers.
