The 718 has its pump built in, so generating a pressure and measuring the response is one operation with one instrument rather than a pump, a gauge and a spare pair of hands. The 1G is the low-pressure model in the range, suited to draught, level and low-pressure transmitter work. Check the range against the transmitters you actually calibrate before ordering, as the models differ only in that.
