Fluke 393 FC Solar Clamp Meter

Rated CAT III 1500 V DC for photovoltaic strings, where a standard clamp is not rated for the job.

Photovoltaic strings run at DC voltages that ordinary clamp meters are simply not rated for, and using an underrated instrument on one is how people get hurt. The 393 FC is built for that job, with the CAT III 1500 V DC rating the work requires. It measures irradiance as well, so panel output can be judged against the light actually falling on it rather than against an assumption.
